Red Peacock anyone? What do you mean there is no such thing as a red peacock? Of course there is – I just painted one on a rock .

See we can all get caught up in what something is suppose to be but who decides?

It is so easy to jump on a piece of art & we see and say – It should be this or that….
Well no it does not have to be anything but what the original creator decided on – what they saw is  the vision they had – because their vision is 100% correct ! For them, that is obvious they just did it.

Know if you think it is ‘wrong’ that is your perception of it and you are correct – it is wrong to you. Understand you do not need to say it is wrong – Understand it is only wrong to you, because of the rules in your head. Others do not have the same rules and therefore less boundaries ! Just enjoy and paint whatever colour peacock you want – because you can.

Use a black colour Acrylic Paint pen and outline  the image, I used Posca 1m or 1mr or Artistro or  Tooli-Art 0.7m pens.

And if you want to add a touch of highlight –  pop on a few dots and dashes of white paint .

Draw the design on your rock.  Click on the image below to learn how to draw on Rocks

Colour on your rock – I have just painted a nice even layer. You do not want to paint it to thick. The more layers on the rock the more chance it has of peeling off later as the water in the base evaporates. Click on the image below to find out how best to paint on rocks!

Shading makes all the difference to the end result. Adds depth to the Image.
I use clean water and a size 2 or 4 filbert taklon paintbrush click on the below image to learn the technique – or head to YouTube to watch how I do the shading.
