Sewing Machine request is for

Ellie ?
I had to do an old black singer, so many memories! I love to sew, come from a long lineage of sewers and my kids have gone on to sew ….and I had a sewing training centre .
Unlike any other of course – In Nepal my daughter and I managed vocational skill classes for Local women and we personally taught the sewing class with our local Nepali friend …. on treadle sewing machines …. in another language which at the time we did not speak ??‍♀️ it was the best fun ever.
Did I mention on day 1 We had never used a treadle before in our lives ? We went on to train some of the most sought out sewers in the community ! It was such a great journey and a perfect way to meet our Local women while they trained in areas of work . This is the women’s development organisation I founded kriayt.com – I miss seeing them due to closed borders but for now we zoom call ??
Enjoy my watercolour sewing machine .

Now you start creating a watercolour look.
I’m using my acrylic paint pens to do this.

I watercolour as I go.

Use a black colour pen and outline  the image, Great pens for outlines are Posca 1m, !mr or the 0.7m size in Tooli-Art or Artistro.

And if you want to add a touch of highlight –  pop on a few dots and dashes of white paint .
You can find awesome fine Pens to help you with this here

I traced my rock on paper then drew the sewing machine within the boundaries.  I traced my picture on the rock.
Click on the image below to learn how to trace onto Rocks

Colour on your rock – I have just painted a nice even layer. You do not want to paint it to thick. The more layers on the rock the more chance it has of peeling off later as the water in the base evaporates. Click on the image below to find out how best to paint on rocks!

Shading makes all the difference to the end result. Adds depth to the Image.
I use clean water and a size 2 or 4 filbert taklon paintbrush click on the below image to learn the technique – or head to YouTube to watch how I do the shading.

I would love to extend to you an invitation to an exciting new Rock Project I have put together.
