You are Blessed – a lovely reminder rock to share with your community…. or even better – YOURSELF.
We all have stuff going on for ourselves – health – relationships … the list is long amongst us I am sure. The trick is how we reflect on it. I have a little blessed rock that has sat on my desk with me forever as a constant little reminder to look for one thing I am blessed with when I am falling into the negative thoughts.
It is hard but we have to try to be More Positive … Fight the Human Tendency to Focus on the Negative. The human brain has a natural tendency to give weight to (and remember) negative experiences or interactions more than positive ones—they stand out more. Psychologists refer to this as negativity bias.
Did you know you can take the next step to retrain your brain to be happier and more positive? Consciously focusing on and experiencing positive situations helps build new neural structures in your brain.
Maybe we can do this with something as a simple ‘Blessed’ Rock When you experience something pleasant or happy, linger on it for 5 seconds or more (similar to the way someone might obsess about something bad that happens). By doing this periodically, you will rewire your brain, making it more likely to notice positive things in the future.
Today do not rush your way through the process of getting the BLESSED rock painted, take your time . Surround yourself with things that make you happy. Now as you paint focus on things in your life that are truly a blessing. Sit in those happy blessed thoughts and lets try to rewire this brain of ours.

Use a black acrylic paint pen and outline  the image, I use Posca 1m or 1mr – Artistro or Tooli-Art 0.7m pens.

And if you want to add a touch of highlight –  pop on a few dots and dashes of white paint .
You can find awesome fine Pens to help you with this here

Draw the design on your rock.  Click on the image below to learn how to draw on Rocks

Colour on your rock – I have just painted a nice even layer. You do not want to paint it to thick. The more layers on the rock the more chance it has of peeling off later as the water in the base evaporates. Click on the image below to find out how best to paint on rocks!

Shading makes all the difference to the end result. Adds depth to the Image.
I use clean water and a size 2 or 4 filbert taklon paintbrush click on the below image to learn the technique – or head to YouTube to watch how I do the shading.
