A few things I love about paint pens ? The ease of using them ! No brushes to clean , no dirty water for the cat to play in
I know I use my poscas in tutorials- being more a matte finish they are easier to photograph without a huge shine on the rock.
But today I’m in a Tooli-Art mood for colour choice ! I just want to create simple designs where colour will be what speaks, not the cute design. Yes bright colourful cute designs are well liked but today is not that day on my desk. I think because I want to drop some rocks outside the gallery I plan to visit in tte next few days -a different audience to my regular kids down the park .
So a simple look seemed to fit better for my goal. More earthy tones will also work in the setting of our wee gallery set amongst trees by the waterfront.
If you have not tried the Earth/ skin tone colours – have a look – the colours change things up !
I love the different colour choices and these grey blues are just what I wanted today . As soon as I decide on my design – colour starts voicing itself to me . I knew I wanted these type blues and Posca was not the answer today.
What rocks have you done where simple colour communicates your design?
And what’s that I hear? You have some trouble with your pens ? Well here check out this article because trust me pens are super easy to use – they just have a slight knack with how to use them
