The Wee Folk -St Pats Day
Inspired by Stamping Bella Stamps
I just did not want to paint the usual leprechaun or 4 leaf clover ? for St Patrick’s day so I had to put my thinking cap on .
First I thought – well green obviously it has to be green … now what?
All I could do was think about my old Irish Granda and he would tell me about the wee folk when I was young .
Fairy trees in Ireland this is where the wee folk live . Usually, the Fairy tree is alone in the middle of the field or on the side of a road. It is believed the fairies were the original Irish people and they were very magical .
When other people defeated them in battle they shrunk themselves and lived underground as they refused to leave their beloved Ireland. They are known to be around the fairy tree so this is where to make a wish ??
Yes to this day I still look at a lone bushy tree as a magical wishing tree ? ?? and I love that when things go wrong we can just blame the fairies or wee folk ? ?‍♂️
So off I went looking for some inspiration of wee folk and found these gorgeous characters by Stamping Bella . Enjoy creating them !
Have a magical day being you .

Colour on your rock – I have just painted a nice even layer. You do not want to paint it to thick. The more layers on the rock the more chance it has of peeling off later as the water in the base evaporates. Click on the image below to find out how best to paint on rocks!

Shading makes all the difference to the end result. Adds depth to the Image.
I use clean water and a size 2 or 4 filbert taklon paintbrush click on the below image to learn the technique – or head to YouTube to watch how I do the shading.
