Walt’s Unicorn
Original by me – I had to add the Jella eyes ???
I’m painting today a different rock and as I take my photos I noticed I had not shared Walt’s Unicorn with you yet . So today this is the rock you get to see .
This was done on the side of Walt’s busy bee rock . Many of you know I paint on both sides of my rocks before I share them or hide them .
Little Walt turned this lumpy bumpy rock around and around and all it had on it was a bumble bee ? he then looked at me and I knew a lecture was coming …..
‘Look’ he says ‘we are family and this is not how we paint rocks in our family ‘
Please note I am the ONLY rock painter in the family ???
‘Look at this side , you know something is missing what is that?’
Lecture over ….
Now the pressure was on from a 3 year old for me to see beyond the one sided rock . See the potential that all his rocks offer , because the kid has not given me a shiny smooth rock yet ??‍♀️And now he has left me to answer what was missing? How am I to know what’s in the mind of our Walt- So I did my usual –
Ask myself really quickly what was missing
Heart Answer- unicorn
Head answer- what? I’ve done so many
Heart Answer- well you asked and I told you
So I painted a Unicorn…. And according to Walt – that was just the best thing to paint on his Bumble Bee rock ??‍♀️
Who am I to doubt a 3yr old and my heart ?
Have an awesome day being you – filled with Bumble Bees and Unicorns ?

Draw the design on your rock.  Click on the image below to learn how to draw on Rocks

Colour on your rock – I have just painted a nice even layer. You do not want to paint it to thick. The more layers on the rock the more chance it has of peeling off later as the water in the base evaporates. Click on the image below to find out how best to paint on rocks!

Shading makes all the difference to the end result. Adds depth to the Image.
I use clean water and a size 2 or 4 filbert taklon paintbrush click on the below image to learn the technique – or head to YouTube to watch how I do the shading.
