You just may have most of these little extra ‘Bits and Bobs” around your house. Most of these things you don’t (NEED) to get started but they are great to have for your rock painting hobby.

Let’s chat about extra supplies for rock painting ….

Pencils and Erasers
Grab some regular HB graphite pencils, they are great for sketching in your ideas book and you can also draw straight on your rock. Personally we think a retractable pencil is great because you never need a sharpener ! It is easy to choose a neutral HB but you will see markings on your pencils with different numbers and letters. The number is what level and the letter means –
(bolder) in pencil grade means the core has more graphite, and will make a bolder, darker line, and also be a little smudgier than a light pencil.
H (hardness) in pencil grade means the core has more clay, and will make a lighter, finer line, and will be less smudgy than a dark pencil.

Graphite Paper
Graphite paper is a paper that helps you trace images onto your rock . You do not need to know how to draw, just trace your chosen picture straight on to your rock !
Grab the graphite paper in A4 printer size and you can print images on to the paper and then trace those on to your rock – NO drawing skills needed!

How fabulous are these trollies when you do not have a dedicated area for your rock painting ? Oh hang on how fabulous are these trollies fullstop !
You can store paints, pens have a shelf for your rocks & sealers – they hold it all.  If you do decide to grab one ( I have one in Teal) check the weight capacity of the one you buy. They vary so much in cost and it can depend on how strongly they are made.

Pen holder storage bags
The storage bags are different sizes holding between 60-170 pens depending which one you decide on. The seperate compartments have elastic slots keeps your markers well-organized and evenly divided. With the elastic band, it can stretch to fit markers in diameter 15mm to 22mm.  Comes with a handy adjustable carry strap. I use these bags to carry my pens to class and as my travel bag storage.
